At Three Trees Early Learning Centre, the outdoor environment plays an important role in everyday learning. With nature sitting just beyond the playground and outdoor exploration built into the centre’s philosophy, the project required school boundary fencing that could deliver dependable safety while still feeling welcoming and considered within the wider landscape.
Designed for Outdoor Learning
For this project, DuraPanel Polo aluminium fencing helped define outdoor spaces across the site. The system’s double top rail detail creates a clean architectural finish that feels more refined than a standard safety fence. As a result, it suits modern education environments where appearance matters alongside functionality.
F4 and F9 Compliant Aluminium Fencing
DuraPanel Polo uses strong welded aluminium and a durable powder-coated finish for long-term performance with minimal maintenance. In addition, the system complies with NZBC F4 Safety from Falling and F9 Pool Safety requirements. This makes it a practical solution for school boundary fencing, pool fencing, retaining wall barriers, and public areas where safety compliance is essential.
Adaptable Across Uneven Ground
Like many education projects, the site at Three Trees includes changes in level across different outdoor areas. DuraPanel Polo allowed the fencing layout to respond cleanly to those transitions, with stepped sections used in places to suit uneven ground conditions. In addition, the system offers rakeable panels for slopes up to 35 degrees. This gives designers and installers more flexibility across complex landscapes, common with school boundary fencing, while maintaining a consistent finish throughout the project.

The square verticals and horizontal rails maximise strength while maintaining a balanced appearance suited to childcare and education settings. With it’s black powdercoated finish, DuraPanel Polo sits comfortably alongside the centre’s natural planting, timber elements, and contemporary building materials.
