Playground Panel is a SentryPanel system designed specifically for play environments. The panel uses 85.5mm vertical bar spacing, a detail chosen to support safer boundaries and reduce entrapment risk while keeping the fence line easy to see through. It is designed to align with NZS 5828, giving designers, contractors, and project teams a fencing option built for playground requirements from the start, rather than a standard panel adapted to fit.
How does Playground Panel support safer play environments?
Playground Panel uses an anti-climb design, with a larger gap between horizontal rails on higher panels to help reduce climbability. This detail matters in playground environments. The fence line needs to support safe movement around the area without creating unnecessary footholds or gaps where children may become caught. The vertical bar layout keeps the boundary open and easy to see through which helps with supervision across busy outdoor spaces while maintaining a clean, consistent appearance. At 1800 mm high, Playground Panel supports both F4 and F9 compliance, including raking applications,making it a strong option where the playground boundary also needs to address fall from height or pool fencing requirements.
How does playground panel handle sloping sites and complex layouts?
Playground Panel includes built-in raking and can rake up to 35 degrees. This helps the fence line follow sloping ground with a tidy finish. This can reduce the need for stepped sections and help limit large gaps under the fence. The system uses 65 x 65 mm posts for added strength, making it well suited to busy environments where the fencing needs to stand up to regular use. With 2400 mm wide panels, Playground Panel can also reduce the number of posts required across a fence line. Fewer posts can help simplify installation, reduce labour on site, and create a cleaner finished result.
