It was an early start at Eastern Beach on Friday morning as the community came together for Spring Plunge 2026. The event supports an important conversation around mental health and wellbeing. Now in its second year, Spring Plunge brings people together for a 90-second dip in the cold water. The plunge remembers New Zealanders who died by suicide and shows support for those who may be struggling. Boundaryline was glad to be there this year with Fence HQ. Our team joined the other sponsors cooking breakfast and served up bacon butties for the plungers as they came back up the beach.
Breakfast after a chilly start
With everyone gathering from around 6.15am, it was definitely a morning for a hot breakfast. While the brave ones headed into the water, the Boundaryline crew joined the other sponsors and got cooking. Fence HQ gave us our base for the morning, with hot bacon butties ready for the plungers afterwards. It was our way of getting the team involved and supporting the people who had turned up for the morning.
Supporting Spring Plunge 2026
Spring Plunge brings people together to remember those lost, and to show support for people who may be struggling. Walker Homes led the event alongside I Am Hope, Flex Fitness Howick, The Elite Community and East Auckland Tourism. Local businesses and supporters also got behind the morning. A big well done to the Spring Plunge team and everyone who got out of bed early to brave the cold and showed their support.
